GreatNonprofits imports nonprofit information from the IRS Business Master File. Nonprofits can claim and manage their profile on the site.

To help nonprofits reach new donors online, we facilitate donations through our nonprofits’ profile pages. As long as your organization has a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, your page will include a donation button for viewers or visitors to contribute.

We have partnered with PayPal Giving Fund, a nonprofit organization that operates a donor-advised fund, to disburse donations made through GreatNonprofits to support other nonprofit organizations. PayPal Giving Fund receives the donation, which is typically tax deductible, net of payment processing fees of 1.99% + $0.49. GreatNonprofits does not profit from these charges, and the total fees are among the lowest donation processing fees for similar services. PayPal Giving Fund typically grants funds to recommended charities within 15-45 days.  

As GreatNonprofits.org gets a lot of traffic, maintaining your organization’s profile is a great way to expand your visibility to donors. However, if you would like us to disable the Donate button, please contact us at support@greatnonprofits.org.
