Have you recently updated your logo, nonprofit name, or location but only to find the old image or information is displayed when you share or post your link on Facebook? This happens because Facebook caches (remembers) the basic information about the page being shared. When you or someone shares your nonprofit profile then the cached information is used rather than Facebook visiting your profile page again and retrieving the information.
You can use Facebook's Sharing Debugger tool which allows you to submit your nonprofit profile link to check your page for updates. Here's how to do this:
- Go to your nonprofit profile page, copy the link in the browser address bar.
- Go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and paste your link.
- Click the Debug button.
- On the next page, click the Scrape Again button.
